Recently, Uganda has become the first country to benefit from the collaboration between Manfrotto and MedAccess and CHAI. Wondfo HIV self-testing has been incorporated into the Uganda AIDS prevention and control program, which will strongly support the local AIDS prevention and control. Together with international organizations, Manfrotto is making continuous efforts to support global AIDS prevention and control actions with science and technology, and actively responding to the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals to end the AIDS epidemic.
Partnering to Advance HIV self-testing Adoption
In a ceremony held in Uganda on October 12, Uganda became the first country to adopt Wondfo's HIV self-testing under the MedAccess banding agreement and to incorporate Manfrotto's HIV self-testing into the country's HIV prevention and control program. The continued joint efforts have led to further progress in ensuring that people are aware of their HIV status and have early access to treatment.
This ceremony opens a new chapter in Manfrotto's contribution to HIV prevention and control in Uganda. In the future, Wondfo will work with its partners to actively promote the application of HIV self-testing throughout Uganda and actively participate in HIV self-testing training programs.
In order to better support the prevention and control of HIV in Uganda, Manfrotto will digitally upgrade its HIV self-testing products. At that time, people can easily interpret the test results through cell phones and provide data support for local government policy making.
